Ad Manager Now Live with Default Facebook Page Selection Ability

๐Ÿš€ Out of Labs: Ad Manager is now Live for Every Location! ๐Ÿš€

Weโ€™re pleased to disclose that Ad Manager has completed its stint in the labs and is now fully live for everyone, which means that users can now access this fantastic tool without the added step of enabling it for each location. As soon as a pricing model has been selected under reselling, Ad Manager will be made instantly available to all locations.

๐Ÿ‘€ Whatโ€™s New?

  1. Users now have the option to set a connected Facebook page as their default page. Once this is set, the default page will be used as the chosen page for publishing new ad campaigns. This page will automatically become the default when you connect the first page during onboarding. If you were to delete an already connected page that has been set as default, the next page would automatically be assigned as the new default. Out of all the connected Facebook pages, there can only be one default page.
  2. Ad Manager is no longer housed in the labs and is ready to join the ranks of prime-tier tools. This means that the necessity to enable it under Labs for each sub-account has been removed, doing away with the hurdles to discovering Ad Manager.

๐Ÿ‘ท How It Works:

A: “Set as default” button

The first connected Facebook page during onboarding is automatically set as the default page to be used for publishing new ad campaigns. Simply click on the gear icon or Ad Manager settings button located at the top right of the Ad Manager home page. Under the Pages tab, each row of the list of connected Facebook pages will have an ellipsis on the right edge, containing a ‘Set as default’ button. Clicking on this button will assign the corresponding page as the default page for your ad campaigns, and the earlier default page will lose its default status. When hovering over the ‘Default’ tag on the selected default page, a tooltip will be shown.

B: Ad Manager: Out of Labs

Users will no longer need to enable Ad Manager under labs to view it under Sub-Account > Marketing. It will automatically be available for all locations once the agency has selected its pricing model.

โญ Why it Matters:

Better Visibility: The withdrawal of Ad Manager from labs will enable users to find it directly under marketing without the need to enable it from Labs.

Easy Usage: Users may designate the Facebook page they use most frequently for publishing ad campaigns as the default Facebook page. This makes it the automatic choice during campaign creation.

๐Ÿ“Œ Important Notes:

During the ad campaign creation process, users will always have the option to choose any page on which they would like the ad campaign to be published. The concept of setting a page as default simply means there should be a default page selected in the campaign builder flow, but this can be changed by the user whenever they want.
