Customizable Sending and Receiving Numbers for SMS Messages

We’re thrilled to unveil a fresh feature that enables you to pick the phone number from which you dispatch SMS messages!

What’s New?

In the past, all the SMS messages were sent from a default number while reaching out to your contacts. Now, you’ve the liberty to determine the phone number you desire to send the message from. If there’s more than one phone number for a contact, you’re allowed to choose the specific contact’s number to forward the message. Enterprises working in various countries or those utilizing different numbers for distinct purposes, can pick the suitable number for each interaction. This assists in improving the reply rate, boosting trust, and aligning communication based on the context of the message.

Key Features:

Select the sending number:

  • While dispatching an SMS, you can now choose the number you want to send your message from.
  • The “From” number dropdown will list all available numbers, making it straightforward to switch between them as required.
  • Tags indicating the default number and the number previously used are demonstrated beside each alternative.
  • Beneath each number, the friendly name and the appointed user are exhibited.
  • By default, the last used number for the contact is auto-selected. If there is no previous conversation, the default number will be selected.

Select recipient’s number:

  • If the contact has multiple numbers, click on the dropdown adjacent to the To field and select the fitting recipient number for the message. If there is no past conversation, primary contact number will be chosen by default.

Access:

  • Admins can access every number configured in the account.
  • Users can access: default number, number assigned to the definite user, unassigned numbers, and the last used number to message the contact.

How This Helps:

  • Better Control: Opt for the phone number that’s the most logical for each interaction, whether you’re dealing with different departments, services, or teams.
  • Clearer Communication: Evade confusion by forwarding SMS messages from the suitable number for each contact.
  • Improve Response Rate and Trust: Selecting local numbers for every region’s SMS conversation can enhance recipient trust and elevate response rates.
