Chat Widget Expanding User Experience with Support for Business Office Hours in Live Chat

Excitingly, our Chat Widget is expanding its user experience by extending support for business office hours in live chat.

This enhancement allows for personalized chatting experiences during and after office hours for a more seamless interaction with end users.

How does it work?

Here is a step-by-step guide to explore this new feature:

  1. Go to Sites > Chat Widget
  2. Select the Live chat option as the type of chat widget.
  3. In the chat widget settings, navigate to the Chat Window tab where the Business Office Hour Setup option is available.
  4. Users have the ability to customize the welcome message for outside office hours using the Outside Office Hours Welcome Message option. By default, the message will be – “We are currently offline.”
  5. Users can set various time ranges from Sunday to Saturday, ensuring no overlaps occur.
  6. For added convenience, users can copy time settings to any days, even multiple days at once.
  7. The timezone will adhere to the business (location) timezone.

What if Business Office Hours is activated?

If the Business Office Hours feature is enabled and the end user’s timezone aligns with the set business hours, the welcome message will be fetched from the Live Chat Welcome Message field. Outside office hours, a contact details form will be sent to the end user.

When the end user submits the contact form, the chat will automatically close, wrapping up the interaction efficiently.
