What’s New?
– Connectly has introduced a new feature allowing to link text and date fields to custom values in Documents and Contracts.
– Users of Connectly are now allowed to link fields in a document to custom values, either for contacts or for the document itself.
– Upon getting a document signed, the linked fields will be automatically updated in the contact or document records.
– Users can also download a CSV of all the filled fields from the dashboard for easier tracking and data management.
How to Use?
– In the Documents editor of Connectly, link any text or date field to either a contact custom value or a document custom value.
– Simply add a recipient, and select the link button on top of text and date fields.
– A single field can be linked to multiple custom values if needed.
– Once the recipient signs the document, the linked fields will be automatically updated in the corresponding record (contact or document).
– To view all the filled fields in a document, just navigate to the dashboard and download a CSV with the relevant data.
Why We Built It?
– Connectly developed this feature to provide a more efficient workflow for users managing multiple documents and contacts.
– Linking text and date fields to custom values eliminates the need for manual updates after documents are signed, thereby enabling automated data syncing.
– The option of downloading a CSV gives users the convenience of managing and analysing data from filled fields, leading to better streamlining of their document processes.
What’s next?
– Connectly plans to extend support for opportunity custom values.
