What’s New?
- Agency and Sub-Account admins can assign granular permissions to their users.
- This structure also introduces a new user interface and an end-to-end experience for adding users and setting their permissions.
- The new permissions structure is backward compatible with the existing set of permission structures and functionalities.
- Copy Permissions: Agency and Sub-location admins can replicate a user’s granular permissions to another user. For instance, when Bob joins the sales team, the admin can duplicate Alex’s permissions to Bob.
- Ability to limit agency admin to specific sub-accounts: Agency admins can delegate agency admins to specific sub-accounts and bar them from accessing other sub-accounts to which they are not assigned. For instance, when Alex, who is an agency admin, can now gain access only to assigned sub-accounts A, B, and C, without sacrificing his access level.
Why is this necessary?
Connectly’s customer agencies and locations are experiencing growth. With growth comes increased complexities:
- Agencies and locations possess substantial customer data and proprietary assets they wish to secure.
- Various members of an SMB’s team, such as sales and marketing, have different abilities. Admins want to guarantee that these users can access only the CRM modules pertinent to their work.
- Sub-locations don’t want two sales members to have access to each other’s leads.
- Agencies might have different account managers for different locations and therefore might want to limit the account managers’ access solely to their assigned locations.
Each of these situations demands a granular level of permission definition to attain its security/management objective. This feature empowers our customers to achieve that.
