Enhanced Mobile Payments Layout for iPads and Android Tablets

We’re excited to announce our latest improvement to Mobile payments – a new layout for the Point of Sale on iPads and Android Tablets.

For businesses that prefer to accept payments on a larger device with a robust payments suite, this update is tailored just for you! This update is available on Connectly, LeadConnector, and Whitelabelled apps (an update request is needed).

What’s New

Split window mode – On a larger device like an iPad or tablet, the POS will be divided into two different screens – Console on the left and Checkout on the right. This makes transactions more efficient, as you can see what’s added to the checkout without navigating back and forth.
Landscape mode – POS now operates in both a horizontal (landscape) mode and vertical (portrait) mode. Depending on your device orientation preference, you can use the POS comfortably with your tablet docks and related payment hardware devices.

How It Works

Install your preferred mobile app (Connectly, LeadConnector, or Whitelabelled) on your iPad or Android tablet.
Go to the POS screen by tapping on the $ icon on the bottom bar of the app.
Now, you can see a new view for the POS, with the item console (keypad and catalog) on the left and checkout on the right.
To accept a payment, simply add the items from the left side of the screen using the keypad for custom items or the catalog for your saved items. On the right side of the screen, associate the contact of the person or entity from whom you’re accepting the payment.
Review the item details on the right while adding items from the left. You can also add a discount to the final cost from the right side of the screen by tapping on the “Discount” button.
When everything looks good to go, tap on the charge button to select your preferred payments instrument, accept an optional tip, and complete the transaction!
