Recurring Tasks Feature
Recurring tasks enable you to establish tasks set to reoccur at certain intervals, minimizing the necessity for manual task duplication.
What’s New?
When setting up a recurring task, you can adjust the following parameters:
- Frequency: Decide how often the task should repeat (for instance, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly).
- End Date:
- Never: The task continues without end.
- Custom Date: Establish a specific end date for the recurring task.
- After a Set Number of Occurrences: Designate a fixed number of recurrences for the task.
- Create Even if Previous Task is Overdue: Ensures new iterations of the task are generated as per the schedule, regardless of whether previous tasks have been completed.
- Create: Generate a new task or convert an existing task into a recurring one.
- Edit: Adjustments to a recurring task can be applied to all future instances or to just one occurrence, providing flexibility in tweaking schedules as needed.
- Delete: Users have the ability to eliminate all upcoming tasks in the series or just one specific instance.
- Restore: If necessary, deleted recurring tasks can be recovered, enabling users to retrieve any tasks that were erroneously deleted.
How to Use:
– From the Tasks, Contacts, or Companies pages, open the Add New Task modal.
– Enter Task Details: Input the task name, description, and any other relevant details for the task.
– Set Recurrence:
- Turn on Recurring Tasks.
- In the Repeats Every field, specify the interval for recurrence (for example, every 1 day, every 2 weeks, every month).
- Select Ends On options.
- If wanted, check the option to Create a new task even if the previous task is overdue, ensuring that tasks appear on schedule even if previous tasks aren’t completed.
– Assign Task: Choose the Assignee and Contact where applicable.
– Click Save to initiate the task and begin the recurrence.
