What’s New?
Users now have the flexibility to set their own passwords! No more automated password generation. User-specific Magic Links will be distributed across all course emails and triggers to ensure they can set their own passwords. In cases where a user attempts to log in without having set their password, they will be redirected to the Set Password page.
The Password field will be deprecated across all templates after this release, even if the password custom field is added to the templates, it will not populate.
We’re introducing the `loginUrl` custom field across all our triggers and email builders for courses. In order for users to receive the magic link, they’ll need to include this in their template. The `Password` custom field is now removed across all builders.
Important Notes
What will happen after turning on this Courses User Magic Links feature?
Users will no longer receive system-generated passwords. Password fields in existing templates will not populate; `loginUrl` should be used by users to set their passwords. New default email templates will be sent out to users.
Regardless of this feature, the Password Custom field won’t be visible across all template builders and workflow email options. Users also won’t be able to add a password field to their new templates. New Magic links will be sent across all emails and triggers with the custom field `loginUrl`.
This modification will activate for everyone and go live in all locations starting 29th July 2024. After that, the system will no longer generate passwords. We recommend removing the password custom fields from all your older templates before this date to prevent future issues.
Forget Password Flow – What’s new?
System generated passwords in your reset password emails will be no more! With our new reset link, you’ll have the ability to set your own password within 2 hours of your request. Furthermore, users will automatically be logged in after resetting their password.

Workflows Triggers Custom Fields Segregation
We have streamlined and categorized the custom fields specific to course triggers into separate dropdowns.
