What is the issue?
1. When selecting the conversion name in the Google AdWords action in the workflows, there’s an option to select ‘Other’ and enter the name of the Conversion as it’s present in the Google Ad account.
2. Users were entering the conversion name with either incorrect casing, a spelling mistake, or a different name altogether, as it was a basic text field.
3. Following the execution of the workflows, they discovered that it had failed, and upon inspecting it in the ‘Execution Logs’, they could understand why it failed.
4. This led to an increase in support tickets related to failed workflow executions.
What have we done?
– We have implemented a solution to verify the conversion name before scheduling AdWords upload from the workflows.
– This ensures that the correct conversion name is being used by the user; otherwise, a validation will be shown for the same, resulting in no failure of workflow execution due to an incorrect conversion name.
Why it is important?
– To increase the success rate of Google AdWords conversion workflows.
– To educate users about the best practice if they are entering a wrong conversion name.
Other significant T3 enhancements delivered:
– Skeleton loaders/shimmers have been added to almost all areas in Ad Manager.
– The support of the new media library is now available within Ad Manager for users to upload media during campaign creation.
– An additional tooltip next to the status is shown to users for campaigns that have completed their duration or are yet to start as the start date of the campaign is in the future.
