Introducing Sidebar and Enhanced Workflow Sticky Notes Features

What’s New?

We’re excited to announce a highly anticipated feature for workflows: Notes. This update allows users to add and keep track of important information for each workflow.

How it Works?

All New Sidebar

  • Easier Navigation: The Stats View is now situated in the sidebar, together with the new Notes and Sticky Notes options.
  • Toggle Capability: By clicking on the Stats View icon, users can activate or deactivate this view. When active, the icon highlights, which means the feature is enabled.

Workflow Level Notes

  • Who can add Notes: Admins can now add Notes for a specific workflow.
  • How to use: Users can add Notes by clicking on the “Notes” icon. These Notes will be visible to all users.
  • Saving the Notes: The Notes will be saved when the Workflow is saved.
  • Tracking: Workflow notes include “Created by” / “Edited by” and “Created on” / “Edited on” information, allowing users to track who made changes and when these changes were made.

Sticky Notes

  • Customization Options: Users can create sticky notes with a choice of colors by clicking the “Sticky Notes” icon, which helps differentiate between various notes and categories.
  • Rich Text Editor: The notes contain a Rich Text Editor, which allows users to format text.
  • Attach Images: Images can be added to the sticky notes.
  • Visibility Controls: The visibility of these notes can be toggled by users through the “Hide Notes” button. This feature gives them control over whether the notes are always visible or only when required.

Action Level Notes (Formerly known as Comments)

  • How It Works: When users hover over an action, they’ll see the notes icon in the top-right corner. Upon clicking this icon, they can add action-specific notes that others can view and build upon.
  • Visibility: The icon will permanently appear if a note is added to an action.
  • History: Each note maintains a history of additions, allowing teams to track discussions, updates, and feedback on specific actions within a workflow.
  • Centralized Notes View: All Action-Level Notes are also available in the main Notes section, enabling users to see and search all notes in one place.

Use Cases

  • Use Workflow-Level Notes for high-level descriptions, objectives, and context, making sure everyone understands the purpose of each workflow.
  • Use Sticky Notes to create color-coded task lists and visual reminders for team members, thus simplifying the process of tracking workflow progress.
  • Sticky Notes can guide sub-account users step-by-step through each action and trigger, making it ideal for training and onboarding new users.
  • Action-Level Notes can be used for instructions, feedback, or background context related to every specific action, ensuring clarity and enhancing team collaboration.
