Connectly’s platform now supports store owners in smoothly providing their customers with digital products. Upon making a purchase, customers are instantly given access to their digital products via safe download links sent straight to their email. Store owners can effortlessly manage digital files, which can be securely downloaded via the Customer Access Center, saving time while improving the overall purchase experience.
Instructions
For Store Owners:
- While setting up product variants, store owners can mark the type of product as either Physical or Digital in the Shipping and Delivery section on the Variant Page.
- For digital products, store owners can upload up to 10 files, with each file having a maximum size of 100 MB. If there are additional files, they can be compressed into a ZIP file below 100 MB for upload. Images, audio, video, documents, and ZIP files. After file upload, remember to save changes.
- Store owners have the option to create different variants of both Physical or Digital product types. For instance, they can create variants like Ebook, Audio Book or Physical books if they are selling books.
- Store owners need to make sure that the “Enable Order Confirmation Email” toggle is activated to allow the delivery of digital products via Email in the Notifications section of the Settings page.
For Customers:
- Once the checkout is complete, customers will receive an Order Confirmation Email that includes an “Access Downloads” button to access their digital files.
- Clicking the “Access Downloads” button will direct customers to the Customer Access Center where they will be required to log in using an OTP that’s sent to the email used during checkout.
- Customers also have an option to access their digital downloads directly through their unique URL, which is in the format: `
/store/account/orders` e.g. myawesomestore.com/products/store/account/orders
Important Information:
- Digital product delivery is available only for orders placed through eCommerce stores.
- If the order is digital then Cash on Delivery (COD) will not be applicable.
- No shipping fees apply to digital products. If there’s a physical product in the cart, normal shipping charges will be incurred.
- If a physical product is bought using COD, alternate online payment methods must be used to pay for any digital upsell products.
- Users can download a maximum of 10 files, with each file should not exceeding 100 MB.
- Store owners need to make sure that the “Enable Order Confirmation Email” Toggle is active to allow the delivery of digital products via Email in the Notifications section of the Settings page.
- Customers need to be logged into their accounts to download their files.
- All downloaded files will not be compressed into a single ZIP file. They will remain as individual files.
- All digital products in an order will be fulfilled automatically with the fulfilment details left as empty fields.
