We are delighted to introduce the SMS Verification feature for our Forms and Surveys module. This new addition gives form and survey participants the capability to prove their phone numbers directly within the form or survey, thereby improving the dependability of the collected information and offering a smoother user experience.
What’s New?
- SMS Verification Button: We are adding a “Verify Phone” button that displays next to the phone number input field in forms and surveys.
- Verification Code: Users will now receive a distinct verification code via SMS, keying in this number into the form will confirm their phone number.
- Enhanced Data Accuracy: This upgrade hopes to reduce errors and false entries by confirming that the collected phone numbers are legitimate and accessible by the users.
- User-Friendly Process: It’s engineered to be intuitive, leading users effortlessly through the verification process.
- Verified Phone Field: On top of the phone verification feature, there is a new introduction of a “Phone Verified” field in form and survey submissions. A successfully verified phone number is marked “Yes” under the “Phone Verified” field, granting easy identification of authenticated phone numbers.
- OTP Billing: Please note that OTP messages will be billed.
How It Works
- Users input their phone number in the specified field of a form or survey.
- Once a legitimate phone number is entered, the “Verify Phone” button will appear.
- Pressing this button sends a verification code to the user’s phone via SMS.
- Users have to key this code back into the form or survey to authenticate their phone number.
Why This Feature?
The SMS verification introduction comes as a resolution for the demand of higher data precision and stability in forms and surveys. By verifying phone numbers, we can particularly lessen the likelihood of wrong data received; benefiting both the data collectors and the participants.
