Addition of Ad Manager as an Add-On Product with SaaS Plans
We are now offering the option to resell Ad Manager with SaaS plans inside the SaaS Configurator itself. The addition of Ad Manager, along with other reselling products, as part of the SaaS offering, further strengthens the value proposition.
Why is it important?
There are several reasons why this feature is crucial:
1. Just like other reselling products, if an agency wants to offer Ad Manager as part of their SaaS plan, it was supposed to be done from the reselling page at the agency level. However, our research into their experience and the limitations they encountered revealed:
- The option was not easily discoverable, leading to lesser adoption of this feature.
- The option was limited to bundle the products with SaaS plans only in the ‘Default’ category. All other categories were not supported.
2. This led us to include Ad Manager as an add-on product under the SaaS plans inside the SaaS configurator, which should increase adoption.
3. The demand from customers inquiring about the inclusion of Ad Manager as part of their SaaS offering is another crucial reason.
How it works?
Here is how it works:
- Agencies configure their Add-Ons under the pricing plan with an option to include Ad Manager as an additional offering to their SaaS plan subscribers.
- When a sale occurs for the SaaS plan, an event is sent to the reselling service, which provides the details of the SaaS sub-account and the configurations.
- The reselling service creates the required subscriptions for the products that are configured to be in the SaaS bundle.
Notes
- Any changes in the bundle configurations will only be applicable to the sub-accounts created with respective SaaS plans in the future, and do not affect existing sub-accounts.
- In the agency billing section, locations that are subscribed to Ad Manager via a SaaS plan will display as ‘SaaS Bundle’ instead of the plan name.
