How It Works:
Prerequisite: Users should have a list of published posts tagged to a category that can then be utilized as part of new category queue creation.
Follow these simple steps:
- Navigate to the New Post button -> Click on the Category Queue option.
- Select a Category – select the desired Category for creating the queue.
- Enable Preferences – Enable options like Enable Future Posting or Prioritize Content by checking the corresponding checkboxes.
- Set a Posting Schedule – Select the preferred days and times for your posts.
- Edit Content- Review and edit the media or content of the posts as needed.
- Fix any errors identified by the caution, error, or warning messages.
- Click the Queue Post button to Schedule the posts if no errors are present.
- Click the Queue Post button to finalize and save as Draft if any errors are present. Alternatively, click Cancel to save your progress as a draft for future editing.
- Users can pause or resume the category queues at any time from the ‘content’ tab by enabling/disabling the toggle.
- Users can also delete the category queue, if necessary, via the three dots icon.
Pointers to Note:
- Category queues can be created for already published content, tagged to a specific category.
- Category queues can be paused or resumed at any point for content planning purposes.
- If you do not wish to reuse the same content, the category queue can be deleted.
- The content of previously published posts can be edited or updated while creating the category queue.
- Currently, once created, the category queue cannot be edited or rescheduled for a different timeframe.
FAQs:
1. How can I include future posts in the category queue?
All previous and future posts tagged to the ‘category’ will automatically be added to the category queue. If you want new posts to be added to the front of the queue, select the ‘Enable Future Posting’ and ‘Prioritize Content’ options.
