About:
Connectly now allows store owners to bulk import products along with more product details fields via a CSV file. The fields possible to import via CSV are as follows:
Inventory Variables:
- Track Inventory – True/False
- Allow out of stock purchases – True/False
- Available quantity – number
- SKU
Shipping Variables:
- Weight value – number
- Weight unit – Kg, g, lb, Oz (Non-case sensitive)
- Dimension Length – number
- Dimension Width – number
- Dimension Height – number
- Dimension unit – cm, m, in (Non-case sensitive)
Product Label:
- Enable Product label – True/False
- Product label content
- Start date and time – ISO Format
- End date and time – ISO Format
SEO Variables:
- SEO Title
- SEO Description
How to Use:
- Store owners can import products through CSV. The designated area for this is: Payments > Products > Import as CSV.
- An easy-to-modify sample CSV can be downloaded by store owners. After the necessary changes have been made, the finalised CSV file can be uploaded for importing. If any errors are displayed, they can be rectified and the file can be reuploaded.
- The first product from the list is available for preview post its upload. After reviewing, store owners can proceed to import the products.
- A popup will appear when the product import process is underway. Once finished, the imported products will be visible on the Products page.
Notes:
- The Handle is now also the slug used in the SEO title, so it’s crucial to ensure it is unique for each product being imported.
- Error display has been improved; now it shows the exact row number where the error has occurred.
- If “Include in Online Store” is not set to TRUE, the SEO details module will not display on the product view/edit page.
- When setting “Enable Product Label” to TRUE, be sure to set the Product Label content as this is compulsory for enabling the product label.
