Until recently, only the budget of an active campaign could be altered. Now, we have enhanced our features, allowing users to edit multiple campaign details. This development provides users the flexibility to adapt their campaigns in response to real-time performance data, current market conditions, and evolving business needs – ensuring your campaign stays on point and effective throughout its active period.
What’s New?
- We have added the option for you to edit an ongoing/live campaign or those in the ‘In Review’ state.
- Here’s the list of campaign details that you can adjust:
- Campaign Name
- CTA Button: Update or change the call-to-action button.
- Lead Generation Form: If the objective is Lead Generation, you can switch to a different form or create a new one.
- Website: Change the website URL if the objective is Website Traffic.
- Special Ad Category: Add or modify the category if required.
- Placements: Alter where your ads are displayed.
- Ad Text and Media: Edit the content and visuals for your ad.
- Budget: Modify the budget designated for the campaign.
- Geographic Location: Modify the targeted areas as needed.
- Target Audience: Change interests, lookalike, or retargeting audience parameters.
- Here’s the list of campaign details that cannot be altered:
- Objective of a campaign
- The Facebook page selected to publish this ad campaign
- Start date of a campaign
- Each time a change is made to a live campaign, an “Unpublished changes” tag will be displayed on the top right of the campaign builder screen.
How It Works:
- From the Ad Manager home screen, click on Edit for the live campaign you wish to alter.
- The campaign builder screen will appear, where you can modify the fields mentioned above.
- As soon as a change is made to the campaign, an “Unpublished changes” tag is displayed on the top right of the screen.
- After all desired changes are made to the campaign:
- User can opt to either discard all the modifications by clicking on the ‘Back’ button at the top left and confirming the same on the prompt displayed OR
- Choose to publish the updated campaign. This will trigger a confirmation dialogue.
- Once the updated campaign is published, it will be sent to Facebook for review and will go live after a successful review.
- If there are errors and the campaign fails due to the changes made, the campaign status will reflect ‘Failed’ and provide the corresponding reason for failure.
Notes:
- The budget amount can be revised, however, changing from Daily to Lifetime for an active campaign is not permitted.
