Exciting Update to Mobile Payments – Integration with Service Calendars

We’re delighted to share our most recent enhancement to mobile payments – the integration of our Point of Sale (POS) system with service calendars. This means, for any service appointments where a deposit payment needs to be recorded, you can now effortlessly collect the balance through Tap to Pay and the POS system as a whole. You’ll find this enhancement in Connectly, Leadconnector, and Whitelabelled apps (an update request is required).

What’s New

• View amount inside calendar events – Simply go to the Appointments section on the mobile app and tap the event card of a service appointment. This will display the amount due for that particular service.
• View invoice: The associated invoice for the service can now be viewed inside the event card. You also have the ability to edit this invoice to add any extra costs for items used or if the service ran over the scheduled time.
• Record payment: Payments for the service can be recorded directly from the appointment event using the options of Tap to Pay, Card, Cash, or Manual Entry.

How It Works

1. Firstly, head to the calendar section on the Connectly web platform and turn on the “Accept Payments” toggle under the Forms and Payments section of your service calendar. Make sure to set the Payment mode as “Live”.
2. Define your payment settings under your calendar and save.
3. Every time a customer books an appointment, you’ll be able to view the event on your mobile app under the Calendars section.
4. Open the mobile app with the same subaccount selected.
5. Tap on the event.
6. You’ll see the sum due for the service, along with two options – View Invoice and Record Payment.
7. Selecting View Invoice will display the invoice with an option to make changes.
8. Choosing Record Payment will bring up the payments instruments screen.
9. Select Tap to Pay or your preferred payment method, record payment, and you’re all set!

Why it Matters

This update integrates two significant modules on the mobile app – calendars and POS – enabling a streamline and uninterrupted payment collection flow.
