Enhanced Store Owners Control over Shipping Locations and Default Locations

What’s New?

We’re thrilled to unveil a brand-new feature that equips store owners with the capability to manage and individualize the available nations for shipping on the checkout page. This enhancement empowers store owners to designate certain countries for shipping and establish default customer location preferences. The primary capabilities encompass:

1. Shipping Locations

Store owners are now given the power to govern where they can ship to during the checkout process:

  • Ship to all locations: Shipping is available worldwide.
  • Ship to specific countries: If this feature is chosen, a fresh Search to select countries field will materialize, granting store owners the opportunity to pick out particular countries for shipping. Only these chosen nations will be visible to customers in the shipping details section of the checkout page.

2. Default Customer Location

Store owners can now personalize how the default location of the customer is determined in the checkout process:

  • No default location: The location of the customer will not be preselected.
  • Geolocate: Based on the IP address of the customer, their location will be identified and automatically populated.
  • Show all countries: All available countries will be shown for the customer to choose from. If Ship to specific countries is chosen, only the countries selected in the Shipping Locations section will be displayed in the customer’s default location list.

How to Use It?

  1. Launch your Store Builder and modify the Checkout Page of your Ecommerce Store.
  2. Choose the Checkout element. To personalize Shipping locations and Default customer location, navigate to the Advanced Section in Settings on the right side.
  3. In the Form Options section, pick one of the Shipping location options:
    • Ship to all locations
    • Ship to specific countries (this option will reveal the Search to select countries field, where you can designate the countries you’d like to ship to).
  4. In the Default customer location section, pick your favored option:
    • No default location
    • Geolocate
    • Show all countries (only selected countries will be displayed if Ship to specific countries was chosen).
  5. Save and publish your adjustments to enable the fresh country selection options on your checkout page.

Key Points to Note:

  • If the country/state field is hidden, the country selection options will be omitted from the checkout page.
  • If no nations are chosen under Ship to specific countries, all countries will be accessible to customers at checkout.
  • The Geolocate feature refines the checkout process for international clients by automatically identifying their whereabouts.
  • This characteristic affords flexibility for store owners to either broaden or limit shipping locations, enriching the overall customer journey.
