Enhanced Text Customization for E-commerce Store Components

What’s New?

Connectly now offers store owners the ability to customize text across various components and elements of their e-commerce stores, such as the Product List, Product Detail, and Upsell, among others. This change allows for superior localization and the incorporation of brand-specific language into the interface.

Previously, the options for text customization were scattered between the General and Advanced sections, with numerous fields not being customizable. All text settings have now been combined into a single section within the General settings, referred to as “Text Customization”.

How to Use It?

  1. Start by opening your Store Builder and selecting the element you want to customize (e.g., Product List, Product Detail, Upsell, etc.).
  2. Next, navigate to the General section in the Settings tab on the right, and scroll to the bottom to find the “Text Customization” section.
  3. In the Text Customization section, you will find text options organized into subsections for different parts of the component (e.g., Shipping Details, Payment Section).
  4. From here, you can modify the text, labels, or headings within each subsection as you see fit.
  5. Once you have made all the necessary changes, save your work and click Publish!

Key Points to Note:

  • Some text elements, such as error messages or empty result states, may not be visible in the builder preview but they can still be customized.
  • The existing customization options (e.g., Button Options, Form Options) have been moved to the Text Customization section, rendering the previous choices redundant and unnecessary.
  • Current stores will continue to function normally, regardless of whether the text settings are updated or not.
