What’s New?
– Users now have the ability to set their own passwords. Say goodbye to automated password generation!
– User-specific Magic Links will be sent in all course emails and triggers, enabling users to set their own passwords.
– If users attempt to log in without setting their password, they will be redirected to the Set Password page.
– After this product update release, the password field will be deprecated in all templates. Even if the password custom field is added to the templates, it will not populate.
– We are introducing a new ‘loginUrl’ custom field in all our triggers and email builders for courses. Users will need to include this in their template to ensure they receive the magic link.
– The ‘Password’ custom field has been removed from all builders.
Important Notes
Here’s what will change after turning on this feature flag “Courses User Magic Links”:
– System-generated passwords for users will be discontinued.
– Password fields in existing templates will not be populated. Instead, ‘loginUrl’ should be used by users to set up their passwords.
– New default email templates will be sent out to users.
Changes irrespective of this feature flag:
– The Password Custom field will no longer be visible across all template builders and workflow email options. Users will also not be able to add the password field in their new templates.
– New Magic links will be sent in all emails and triggers with the custom field ‘loginUrl’.
Starting July 29, 2024, this change will be implemented for everyone, and passwords will no longer be generated by the system. We advise you to remove the password custom fields from all your older templates before this date.
Forget Password Flow
Here’s what’s new:
– System-generated passwords in your reset password emails will be a thing of the past. With the new reset link, you’ll be able to set your own password within two hours of your request.
– Users will now be automatically logged in after resetting their passwords.
New Default Email Templates
– Welcome Emails
– Offer Access Emails
– Drip Categories Emails
Segregation of Workflows Triggers Custom fields
We have now segregated the custom fields specific to course triggers into separate dropdowns.
