We are excited to announce the addition of a new feature to the Chat Widget: the Whatsapp Chat Type option.
Before being able to use it, you need to add a new Whatsapp business number from Settings > Whatsapp.
How can you enable the Whatsapp Chat Widget?
- Navigate to Sites > Chat Widget
- Once you’re in the Chat Widget, go to Chat type and select Whatsapp Chat
- Once the Whatsapp chat option is selected, proceed to the widget window to customize text, colors, branding, and forms with email/phone.
- After the setup is complete, you need to select the Whatsapp number. This will be the number where messages from users will be redirected when the chat is initiated.
- Once the setup is finished, remember to save the settings.
How does it work?
- Add the code to the landing page (external providers) to the header code or use it by enabling toggle in Funnel/Website Settings
- After embedding the chat widget, it will appear on the landing page.
- Users who visit will fill out the form with their name and other information
- Upon submission, users will be redirected to the Whatsapp web option with the message sent to the number selected in the widget window.
